Well The New Year is here and I thought this article will help you with your goals.

This is a reprint article by Michael Masterson

I didn’t always plan my days. For most of my career, in fact, I didn’t.

I had written goals. And I referred to them regularly. My goals kept me pointed in the right direction, but I was always moving back and forth. Often for no good reason.

Driving to work in the morning, I would think about my goals. That helped motivate me and often gave me specific ideas about what tasks I should accomplish that day. I’d walk into work meaning to complete those tasks … but by the end of the day, many of them were not done.

What happened? The same thing that may be happening to you right now. You sit down at your desk, and there is a pile of new mail in your inbox. You pick up the phone, and 15 messages are waiting for you. You open your computer, and find that you’ve received 50 new e-mails since you last checked. You tell yourself that you will get to your important tasks later. Right now, you have to “clean up” all these little emergencies.

Before you know it, the day is over and you haven’t taken a single step toward achieving your important goals. You make an effort to do something, but you’re tired. Tomorrow, you tell yourself, you’ll do better.

Does that sound familiar?

If so, don’t feel bad. You’re in good company. Most people deal with their work that way. Even people who set goals and achieve them. Over the long term, they get everything done. But on a day-to-day basis, they are constantly frustrated.

You can be successful without planning your days … but you will have to work a lot longer and harder. The reason? When you don’t plan your days, you end up working for other people – not just for yourself. You feel that before you get to your own work, you should first deal with their requests.

Starting your day by clearing out your inbox, voicemail inbox, and e-mail inbox is just plain dumb. Most of what is waiting for you every morning has nothing to do with your goals and aspirations. It’s work that other people want you to do for them.

If you want to be the captain of your soul and the master of your future, you have to be in charge of your time. And the best way to be in charge of your time is to structure your day around a task list that you, and only you, create.

As I said, simply writing down my goals helped me accomplish a good deal. But my productivity quadrupled when I started managing my schedule with a daily task list. If you use the system I’m going to recommend, I’ll bet you see the same improvement.

I have used many standard organizing systems over the years, but was never entirely satisfied with any of them. The system I use now is my own – based on the best of what I found elsewhere.

At the beginning of the year, I lay out my goals for the next 12 months. I ask myself “What do I need to achieve in January, February, etc. to keep myself on track?” Then, at the beginning of each month, I lay out my weekly objectives. Finally, every day, I create a very specific daily task list.

Here’s how I do it …

I begin each day the day before.

What I mean by that is that I create my daily task list at the end of the prior day. I create Tuesday’s task list at the end of Monday’s workday. I create Wednesday’s at the end of Tuesday’s workday.

I begin by reviewing the current day’s list. I note which tasks I’ve done and which I have failed to do. My new list – the next day’s task list – begins with those uncompleted tasks. I then look at my weekly objectives to see if there are any other tasks that I want to add. Then I look through my inbox and decide what to do with what’s there. I may schedule some of those items for the following day. Most of them, I schedule for later or trash or redirect to someone else.

I do all this in pen on a 6” x 9” pad of lined paper. I divide the paper vertically to create columns for the tasks, for the time I estimate it will take to do each one, and for the actual time it takes me to complete it. I also create a column for tasks I will delegate to my assistant.

On most days, I end up with about 20 15-minute to one-hour tasks.

Here is a typical daily list.

I like doing this by hand, in pen and ink. You may prefer to do it on your computer. The point is to enjoy the process.

Because longer tasks tend to be fatiguing, I seldom schedule anything that will take more than an hour. If you have a task that will take several hours, break it up into pieces and do it over a few days. It will be easier to accomplish. Plus, you will probably do a better job because you’ll be doing it with more energy and with time to review and revise your work as you go.

A typical day for me includes two or three one-hour tasks, three or four half-hour tasks, and a dozen or so 15-minute tasks. The kind of work you do may be different, but I like that balance. It gives me flexibility. I can match my energy level throughout the day to my task list.

Ideally, you should get all of your important tasks and most of your less important tasks done almost every day. You want to accomplish a lot so you can achieve your long-term goals as quickly as possible. But you also want to feel good about yourself at the end of the day.

You may find, as I did, that when you begin using this system you will be overzealous – scheduling more tasks than you can possibly handle. So set realistic time estimates when you write down your tasks. And double-check them at the end of the day by filling in the actual time you spent on each one.

When you complete a task, scratch it off your list. One task done! On to the next one!

I’ve been doing this for years, and I still get a little burst of pleasure every time.

Creating each daily task list should take you less than 15 minutes. The secret is to work from your weekly objectives – which are based on your monthly and yearly goals.

This system may not work for you, but I urge you to give it a try. I think you’ll like it.

Before your colleagues, competitors, and coworkers are even sipping their first cup of coffee, you’ll have figured out everything you need to do that day to make you healthier, wealthier, and wiser. You’ll know what to do, you’ll know what your priorities are, and you’ll already be thinking about some of them. You’ll not have to worry about forgetting something important. And you’ll have a strong sense of energy and excitement, confident that your day is going to be a productive one.

The exponential growth of the internet has enable marketers to have a wider range of choices of platforms to promote their product, services and/or their opportunity.

One of those platforms is Social Networking-sites namely Facebook, MySpace, BeBo , Hi-Five and a host of more.

Wikipedia definition of Social Networking-sites “Social Networking Sites focuses on building and reflecting social network or social relationship among people, e.g., who share interests and/or activities. A social network service essentially consists of a representation of each user (often a profile), his/her social links, and a variety of additional services. Most social network services are web based and provide various ways for users to interact, such as e-mail and instant messaging services.”

Now Wikipedia gives smart marketers a key on how to use these type of Web 2.0 platform and the key is be SOCIAL…

It is very important for all marketers to become social and transparent, stop promoting so hard and start socializing and meeting people who you share something in common with.

Do you hate when people send you to their link or opportunity without ever talking to you? They have no clue what your likes or dislikes. What tools you have and what tools you can use? They are only interest in self and you are applying the WIIFM rule. (Whats In It For Me)

See these marketers have missed the mark especially when using social networking sites… the same rules apply people HATE being sold. It actually apply even more here because you should not be selling you should be interacting with people who want what you have.

Now enough about what you should not be doing let’s talk about some things to help you use these sites.

Create A Group – Now before you beat me up about that is rehashed info give me a minute to explain most people create a group directly about their opportunity or service vs. creating a group that talks about solutions instead of the opportunity.

Here is an example let’s say your opportunity is Travel most people would attempt to create a group called XYZ Travel Biz, but a better group would be “Learn How To Travel For Free” or “Cancun Interest Seekers”

Here is another example let’s say you have a dog training product instead of creating a group with the name of the product try creating a group with the name of the problem “Sick And Tired Of Disobedient Dogs”

Those groups will attract the people you are looking for and have the same interest.

The next one is Fan Pages now everyone is using fan pages once again they are using it wrong I have received so many emails telling me to become a fan of “Joe Blow” and I am like who the $&% is that.

This person has never ever interacted with me …LOL and now they want me to be a fan…
Answer this question why would someone join your fan page when you have given them no value nor have you built a relationship with them.

The key to marketing on social networking sites is to create relationship people listens to people they Know, like and Respect.

How can someone respect you when the only thing they know is you are constantly trying to sell them something!!! And to make matters worst you have no idea about salesmanship.

So here is the key…

Build Fan Pages based on something that the person or persons would like to be a fan of … let go of the EGO.

If you are not giving value don’t ask someone to become your fan.

So here are the things that shrewd and smart marketers know about Social Networking Sites

• They Know How To Build And Keep Relationship(Its not about how many friends you have online)

• They Know How To Create Interesting Groups(Its definitely not about your product)

• They Know How To Create Fan Pages (Its not about you)

• They Know How To Have Fun(Let down your hair a little its not a job, play Farmville or Mafia- People want to see that you are a real person and not some marketing ninja)

• They Know Not To Spam Their Own Status(Don’t let every status include your business… it does not look professional)

Hopefully you found some value in this note if so pass this information on.

The headline above is what I received in my email box today from a marketers Steve & John…So I clicked on the link to that took me to his video.

Now I am going to quote what he says in the video “Unsubcribe” he then goes on to talk about information overload and unsubscribe for Guru list. I actually talked about this in a earlier post……

But the most funny thing about this email is I have never received any free value from these guys…. and in the middle of his video he pitches his coaching program for a whopping $3000 dollars.

Guys get it and get it now…. the Guru Game and Coach Game is about lining there pockets…. not so much about helping you….most of these coaches you have never heard of until they game out with there product which is based of something that you can get off the internet for free.

I have no problem with the coaching game/guru game… but remeber not many will put there money where there mouth is….

Here is thing to find ask the self proclaim coach:

Ask The Coach For A Money Back Guarantee

That means if you follow their plan and only if you follow their plan to a tee and you dont see the results promised would they issue a refund.

Make sure that you know how much money you need to invest to see results.

Find out what have the coach promoted other than IM/Biz ops

Anyway if you would like to see the video yourself check it out

Furthermore the sales letter makes you think that you wont be spending money, big fat lie it seems as if the course recommends numersous paid services from Wordpres Direct to Datafeedr sites.

Now here is the big question Should You Purchase ? Well I think for the $5.00 to try it why not make your own decision about Marketing On The Fringe.

Stop it and think for a minute!!! Before you continue listening to these so call gurus you need to examine who you are listening to because Most Gurus Do Not Want You To Succeed.

Whew!!! I am glad that I got that off my chest it is just a fact.

Now it is nothing wrong with what they are doing but it is all part of how they make a living which is selling you information on how to make money. Just sit and think what will happen if you really succeed, no really just take a moment a think about it “now this is only for the people who have not made any money yet.”

I know that thought felt real good and the gurus know if feels real good to you also that is why they keep you addicted to the next and better thing to get you some money but by the end of this blog post you will have an idea on how to succeed.

But once again imagine what will happen if you succeed not in your life but in the so call guru lifes. Will they be affected ? Yes but not in the same positive way.

If you succeed then they will stop making money at least on you and will having to actually have to resort to what they are teaching, yes over 75% over people claiming to be coaches and gurus make and have made most of there money selling y0u and coaching you.

Now for the other big wigs they have not marketed any other product in so long they continue peddling you more ways to make money. Have you notice instead of you focusing on your business you are now just doing things ?

You know what I mean things ? Looking for whats new from the ‘Gurus” to help you make that million dollar… Aren’t you tired of these product launches ? This is what is holding you back… believe me you have enough information you just need to act on what you know.

Here is a couple of tips…

If you are part of a Guru Members program and you have been in it for over 6 months and cant pay for it with the money you made from what the “Guru” taught you then you need to get out of the program stop wasting your money either the program is no good or you are not taking action regardless of the fact. It is not beneficial to you.

Get two email address one to use for your business and one for the Guru – it seems as the gurus or more desparate nowadays I notice they are sending offers all the time.

Get off of everyone list – If the list you are on constantly spam you with more make money products without giving you value then get off the list it is causing you more information overload.

Success is in your hands.

Hopefully this post has sparked you and you are now ready to make some money…

Well okay guys Ewen Chia has launched his Optin Profits package and what gets me most is the bonus that some of the so call guru’s are offering.

It is just so funny to me to hear someone attempting to give you over $9,000 in bonuses for a product that cost $77 dollar to start and charges a monthly recurring price of $37 dollars a month.

The problem lies with the value of the bonuses, one bonus I seen offered was a Ewen Chia PLR product which I purchased for $47 dollars now the so called guru has price the PLR product which he made no changes on for $500 dollars.

WOW!!! Talking about wolves to sheeps… In any event becareful of the bonus offers. I wish I could give you a review of the product but I did not get a chance to purchase it yet.

If you would like to build you Networking Marketing Business without going through the problems that must people go through when venturing into the world of Multi Level Marketing then you would want to read this article.

In this article we will address the five most important tips that will enable you to build your to becoming a MLM superstar.

1. Brand You – In order to become a MLM Superstar you must begin by branding yourself and not your company. It seems that most Network Marketers are using the company provided replica site. This has nothing to do with you and what you stand for this belongs to the company, keep in mind tha you are just a marketer of the company but the company is not you.

2. Develop your own products and sites – The way of the MLM Superstar is to create your own products and sites. You can start by creating your own website and on that site you can give a free report on the benefits of your product or service.

3. Give Value – Do not sell your prospect on your opportunity start with giving value at your website this is the way to brand yourself. There are many ways of giving value one way is to create a video on social media marketing, If you are not familiar with those things then take a small investment and have these tools created for you, start looking at places like at elance to have products created for you to create value.

4. Train – Do not be afraid to train people on the things you know about marketing, it could be online or offline marketing tips. If you have technical skills train users on how to use the latest and greatest technology. This way people will share the link to your site with other potential prospects.

5. Be Transparent – Well this is key most networkers hide themselves the best way to be transparent is to create videos of yourself and post them on your blog. Create a Facebook or MySpace profile to show people that you are a real person. Interact with people just for the fun of it remember Network Marketing is a business of relationship it does not matter where you live at, today the internet has made it easy for us to connect.

These are just a couple of tips that will help you become a MLM superstar don’t be left behind doing things that are not building your business follow these tips and I can assure you that your business will grow exponentially.

I found this article online and I thought it rang true for so many of us in this business so I thought I would share it here on my blog…

One of the hardest hitting reports written in MLM in the last few years was “The 7 Great Lies Of Network Marketing.” It didn’t pull any punches and spawned a new generation of internet network marketers who recognized these network marketing lies for what they were.

Network marketing has long been promoted as a business that takes time to build. That’s true but the truth is now, with the internet as a powerful tool in generating prospects this building phase has been shortened considerably.

The problem with build an MLM business the old way was that it simply took too long to see a return. The first few months are crucial in the survival process yet more than 90% will quit their business because of lack of cash flow.

When a person signs up in network marketing costs include those for marketing materials and autoship payments and they are immediately on the back foot. Internet network marketing gives a person the chance to generate money very quickly offsetting the early lack of cash flow thus keeping them in the business longer and giving them more chance of succeeding.

Network Marketing Lies

Network marketing lies range from being told anyone can do this to your upline will build your business for you, all you have to do is join. The fact is, there is much more to it than that and lack of funds early is a major issue.

In the 21st century, the three foot rule is almost a dinosaur as a prospecting method and as a way of targeting your market, it’s almost a joke. That’s why if you haven’t done so, you need to consider utilizing the power and reach of the internet not just because it’s a goldmine of prospects, but more importantly, because you can actually place your message in front of those who want to hear it.

The big difference here is the lack of grief you get and that prospects will actually be drawn to your sales funnel. In other words, they’ll be contacting you. If that sounds like a strange aspect of MLM then get used to it.

So be wary of the old school network marketing lies that will have you believing that you need to make a list and run regular home meetings. That was once a good way of building an MLM business but it’s quickly going the way of the dinosaurs and becoming part of business history.

In conclusion I have taken my marketing online, I have found other ways to market my opportunity and I advise you to do the same.

I was invited to a Network Opportunity meeting the other day, I wanted to make it to see the presentation but I got caught up so I could not make it to the meeting.

This person had tried numerous times to invite me to a presentation but I always had something more important to do, to be honest I really want to make the meetings but it was not on my first priority list.

It just seems like in this day in time a opportunity that only has live presentation meetings crippled the person who is prospecting, with the birth of the internet and online conference I see no reason why I have to go to a meeting just to see a presentation.

Excerpt Taken From FortuneNow

Why can’t we make joining network marketing so easy that we don’t even need to give a presentation?
Is your brain seeing the possibilities too?
Are you also thinking:
“Hey, if we don’t have to make a bunch of appointments, give a bunch of presentations, train our distributors for days and days . . . and wow! This means that anyone would love to join and participate in our business.”
This changes things, doesn’t it?

I’m not saying that we throw away everything we do as professional network marketers.
However, the simpler we make the buying and joining decision, the easier our business will become.

——————————————–

Now don’t get me wrong I am not saying to stop doing your presentation but I am saying to start looking for online ways of marketing your business such as creating your own web site with an embedded video of a small presentation look into getting hot conference so that you can show your presentation remotely.

Dont let the live presentation be the reason that you are not building your business.
